Answer:

Cooking of the bones and the cartiliage gives off the gelatin and thus the cold broth becomes gelatinous and looks like clear jelly. It is actually a sign of a good broth. The fat also solidifies and that has an opaque yellowish color and appears quite solid. You an remove that, which is not healthy but keep the gelatin, that is flavorful and healthy.

But to truly appreciate and understand there works and contribution one needs to learn Sanskrit, otherwise one will remain forever ignorant of these important texts. Who knows Sanskrit and is willing to research further? Anyone? This is the problem at its root and this is the true reason why we are so ignorant of these people and our great heritage.

Born in 476 CE in Kusumpur ( Bihar ), Aryabhatt's intellectual brilliance remapped the boundaries of mathematics and astronomy. In 499 CE, at the age of 23, he wrote a text on astronomy and an unparallel treatise on mathematics called 'Aryabhatiyam.' He formulated the process of calculating the motion of planets and the time of eclipses. Aryabhatt was the first to proclaim that the earth is round, it rotates on its axis, orbits the sun and is suspended in space - 1000 years before Copernicus published his heliocentric theory. He is also acknowledged for calculating p (Pi) to four decimal places: 3.1416 and the sine table in trigonometry. Centuries later, in 825 CE, the Arab mathematician, Mohammed Ibna Musa credited the value of Pi to the Indians, 'This value has been given by the Hindus.' And above all, his most spectacular contribution was the concept of zero without which modern computer technology would have been non-existent. Aryabhatt was a colossus in the field of mathematics.

Shivkar Bapuji Talpade at Chowpathy Mumbai

An interesting claim about the Indian science of aeronautics and and the ancient research by the rishi-scientist, Acharya Bharadwaj is that an Indian successfully tested them actual practice 112 years ago.

In 1895, fully eight years before the Wright Brothers’ first flight at Kitty Hawk, North Carolina, USA, Mr. Shivkar Bapuji Talpade of Bombay and his wife (reportedly) gave a thrilling demonstration flight on Chowpatty beach, Bombay.


Talpade’s aircraft used an ion engine in 1895 working on mercurial pressure (Paarad-Rasa).


A Mercury vortex ion engine works by emission of heavy charged particles.

Both mercury and iron were available to ancient civilizations. It is not hard to imagine that they could figure out that heating mercury and pouring it out from a small nozzle would ionize it and create rocket thrust.


The white man credits something like this to Robert Goddard, who invented liquid-fuel rocketry in 1906.


Talpade of Bombay, was an erudite scholar of Sanskrit literature, especially of the Vedas, an inventor and a teacher in the School of Arts.


His deep study of the Vedas led him to construct an aircraft conforming to their descriptions. The aircraft was displayed in an exhibition arranged by the Bombay Art Society in the Town Hall.


For, the 190th richa (verse) of the Rig Veda and the aeronautical treatise of Bharadwaj mention that flying machines came into full operation when solar energy, mercury and another chemicals called naksha rasas were blended together.


This energy was, supposedly, stored in something like an accumulator or storage batteries. The Vedas mention eight different engines in the plane, all electrical in nature.


In his experiments, Talpade was aided by his wife, also a deep Vedic scholar, and an architect-friend. The aircraft combined the constructional characteristics of both Pushpaka and Marut Sakha, the sixth and eighth types of aircraft described by Acharya Bharadwaj.


Talpade named it "Marut Sakhaa" -- friend of the wind.


In 1895, this pioneering Indian aeronautical product attained a height of about 1,500 feet above the Chowpatty beach, Bombay and landed safely.


This flight was witnessed, by Shrimant Maharaj Sir Sayajirao III Gaekwad (1863-1939) and Justice Mahadev Govind Ranade (1842–1901) among many others. The Kesari, a leading Marathi daily newspaper reported it in 1895. The Maharaja of Baroda and Justice Ranade were impressed and rewarded the talented inventor.


Unfortunately, Talpade lost all interest in things after his wife’s death.

After Talpade's own death in 1917 at 53, his relatives sold the aircraft to the Rally Brothers, Bombay, a leading British exporting firm.


Thus, the first ever attempt at flying in modern India, undertaken and made successful by an Indian, in an airplane of Indian manufacture built to Indian scientific specifications, was relegated to the dustbin of oblivion.

The Aeronautical Research Development Board, New Delhi commissioned the Academy of Sanskrit Research in Melkote, near Mandya, to take up a one-year study on ‘Non-conventional Approach to Aeronautics’, on the basis of Vaimaanik Shastra.
As a result of the research, a glass-like stealth material invisible to radar has been developed by a certain Prof. Dongre, a BHU research scholar. An airplane coated with this unique material is immune to radar.

HAVING A HOBBY

Stress has become the most common ailment in our lives. It’s hard to find a person who is not stressed at some point of time or another. The increasing competition in every sphere of life has further fuelled the elements of stress and anxiety. Each one of us wants to move forward in life at breathtaking pace. We are constantly struggling for time. People are finding it hard to indulge in their favourite hobbies. All these factors have made stress an omnipresent factor in the lives of humans. Stress has severe negative effects on one’s health, spirit and happiness.

But all of us have a breaking point. At that point, we need to stop for a while and think what is causing stress and how to make life a wonderful experience all over again. Hobbies come into picture at this crucial juncture. Hobbies allow us to relax and pursue our long lost passions. Definition wise, hobby is essentially an activity that someone likes to indulge in during his/her spare time. Different people have different hobbies. It all depends upon particular likes and interests of a person. Hobbies bring mental satisfaction and a sense of rejuvenation.

Indulging in a hobby allows individual to break free from his reality. He can stop worrying about daily chores, office work, family responsibilities etc and just please himself by doing something that gives him immense satisfaction. Pursuing a hobby is all about putting aside all the stress and tension. A stressed person is least likely to perform to his optimum. During such times, it is important to take a break from mundane chores and indulge in an activity that we had always desired but failed to pursue because of various reasons. Hobbies are instrumental in bringing energy back in an individual’s life. Time well spent on pursuing your hobby will lead to a fresh mind and consequently increased focus back on the work.

Worldwide, experts are emphasising on including hobby in stress management techniques. Stressed people are encouraged to pursue their favourite activities. There are plenty of such activities that one can choose from depending upon his features, interests, characteristics and personality. Someone would like to go for indoor activities or some others are more excited about outdoor ventures. Those with artistic bend of mind can always go for painting, sculpting or writing. Those who seek adrenaline rush can opt for scuba diving, sky diving, bungee jumping etc. Similarly, a person can have several hobbies depending upon his moods. But the crucial aspect is to have a hobby that can play a significant role in removing stress.

No matter, what hobby you pursue, the end result is same, i.e. gaining great pleasure and satisfaction. What also works in favour of practising a hobby is that, it has no deadlines, no rules and no pressure to perform. Spend as much time as you want. No one is going to talk about the end result. All you have to do is to please yourself. Hobbies offer other benefits as well. One can develop new skills and discover hitherto, unknown talents. Individuals can expand their horizons, make new contacts, develop relationships etc and get the most out of life.

New Delhi: Just last year when Sehwag cracked a double ton against Sri Lanka in Mumbai at an astonishing pace, a blogger remarked that his "scoring rate was as fast as Vishwanathan Anand's, Nigel Short's or Gary Kasparov's thinking process".
Thursday at the Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad, Sehwag decided to better that as he plundered runs against a hapless New Zealand attack on a track that is as placid and slow as they come. And while the scorecard will say that he missed out on his double hundred by 27 runs, one believes he missed out on yet another opportunity to better Don Bradman's record haul of 309 runs scored in a single day and become the first man ever to hit three triple centuries in Test cricket.
In the Mumbai Test against the Lankans, Sehwag had scored 284 runs in a single day. On Thursday he seemed on course to go past it as he batted with his usual elan, bringing up his 50 off 49 deliveries and his 100 off just 111. When he was dismissed in the 75th over of the Indian innings, he had already scored 173 off 199 deliveries.
With the New Zealand bowlers hardly posing a challenge, Sehwag set about the run-gathering task with delightful strokeplay that included reverse sweeps and paddles, lofted drives and no-nonsense smacks straight down the ground.
Chris Martin came in for some treatment in the third over of the game itself as Sehwag hit him for three beautiful boundaries. He stood tall and drove the length ball through the covers for the first boundary. The second went past the gully with him opening the face of the bat late, while he forced the third through point with an open face.
The onsalught was so severe that New Zealand had brought in Jesse Ryder to bowl by the 11th over of the day. Sehwag greeted him with two back-to-back shots to the fence.
Jeetan Patel too came in for special treatment as he tried every trick in the book including bowling round the wicket. It was only Rahul Dravid's slow batting (he scored 17 off his first 100 deliveries) at the other end that denied Sehwag from entering the list of batsmen to have hit a hundred in the first session of a Test match.
The second session though was where he slowed down as he hit a boundary after a wait of 31 deliveries. That shot off Daniel Vettori to the mid-on fence also brough up his 1000 runs in 2010.
At the other end, Dravid struggled to pick the gaps and it was quite evident as he managed just five runs off 41 balls since lunch. Sehwag couldn't take it anymore and launched into Williamson for the first six of the match, the ball flying into the second tier over the wide long-on fence. That shot did something to boost Dravid's confidence as well as he got a move on and began to caress the ball into the gaps.
Sehwag brought up his 14th score of 150 plus in Test that brought him level fourth with Ricky Ponting and Steve Waugh. But he had begun to feel uncomfortable in the middle and when he walked out with his arms around Gambhir as his runner, it was clear that this was the moment that will change the game - Viru will either loft it all over the park or the niggle will get the better of him. And while one hoped for the former, Vettori castled Sehwag with a delivery that stayed low.
The end looked like a lazy and bored one. But with five more innings to go in this series, there's a lot to look forward to. Not to forget, a certain Sachin Tendulkar is at the crease and should get that 50th Test hundred to make it an incredible diwali.
